2026 Audi Q3 Sportback F3

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Third-generation Q3 Sportback introduces distinctive split Matrix LED headlights and a wider grille, aligning closely with the larger Q5’s design language.

  • Powertrain range spans from a mild-hybrid 1.5 L turbo (148 hp) to a potent PHEV version delivering up to 268 hp and around 100 km of electric-only driving.

  • Interior adopts enhanced digital interface with up to a 14.5-inch central touchscreen and improved space; trims include both driver-focused luxury and advanced safety systems.

Design and Lighting Evolution

The 2026 Audi Q3 Sportback F3 presents a solid visual progression. At the front, Audi deploys split Matrix LED headlights composed of micro‑LEDs—up to 26,600 per side—capable of projecting warnings onto the road surface. The single-frame grille grows wider and adopts refined vertical slats, echoing the Q5’s styling, while the rear complements with an illuminated full-width light bar and OLED tail lamps offering customizable lighting signatures. Wheels span between 18″ and 20″, with fresh exterior colors like Sage Green and Madeira Brown adding subtle luxury cues.

Powertrain Options and Performance

Audi delivers a broad powertrain suite for the new Q3 Sportback. Entry-level models feature a 1.5 L turbocharged four-cylinder with mild-hybrid assistance, rated at 148 hp (110 kW). Mid-range trims bring a 2.0 L TFSI turbo four, producing 262 hp and 48 V MHEV support. The plug-in hybrid variant upgrades to 268 hp (200 kW), with an electric motor granting around 100 km of EV-only range. Quattro all-wheel drive remains exclusive to the 2.0 TFSI versions, while others retain front-wheel drive.

Interior Technology and Room

Inside, Audi increases its tech baseline. The cabin will support a substantial digital overhaul that could ultimately include up to a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, accompanied by an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and optional passenger-side display. A heads-up display is also expected among the options. The steering column now houses shift modules replacing conventional stalks; ambient lighting and premium audio systems are offered in higher trims. While exact dimensions are not disclosed, the new Q3 reportedly provides greater interior room, improving practicality within the compact category.
